Hey, mate. Pleased to see another professor around here. I’m Daniel, mostly Danny. Latin’s my thing.
Well nice to see you too. I´m Ethan. And i do whatever.
What’s your story then, mate? Everyone’s got one.

Hey, mate. Pleased to see another professor around here. I’m Daniel, mostly Danny. Latin’s my thing.
“It is what we want, Danny. God, I just love her so much, and i’ve been there every single step of the way, even to our first songram,” he opened a desk door and soon handed him the little picture of their baby, in it’s first stages of growth. “And we do. Infact, we wanted to ask if you would be the godfather. When Charlie brought it up, you were the only one I could think of,” he smiled up at danny, picking up on his comforting emotions. But then he was right back to putting his palms to his eyes. “I know it is,” he said softly. “Her parents already disowned her for it—-i’m her only family now, which is why we’re going…well, i don’t know, but I do know i’m going to marry her when she’s eighteen. For now, we’re just praying that we’ll be safe. She’s more worried about me then herself. But since her parents disowned her, she has no one but me as family, like I said.”
“She’s got this school, too.” He reminded Henry, and by which he included himself. It was already true that he considered himself the surrogate father of half the children and young adults that attended merely because they did attend - it was like filling a loss somewhere, a loss that had settled deep and hadn’t left.
And god, he was jealous. Not that he’d ever show it - not that he’d ever let it slip out by way of being an empath, either. But it was only natural, wasn’t it? He’d lost this. He’d lost this thing he had once because he hadn’t been good enough. And here it was.
Henry was good enough.
Somehow, Danny had always known that.
“And she’s got you.” He added, which Danny had already said. “They’re not pressing charges?” He asked, referring to the people who had disowned her - that wasn’t something he could hold back his anger on. God, how could anyone ever disown their child? Didn’t they know what they were losing? Didn’t they know that they would regret it?
Henry managed a weak laugh. That was the amazing thing about Danny. He could always make him laugh, even when he was about to do the hardest thing he’d ever done in his life. “Bodies mean we really fucked up,” he laughed and then nodded. “He was looking up porn, and DOWNLOADING it. Now, i’m as hot blooded as the next man, but do you KNOW the viruses that those kind of sights dump on you? I have my babies to think of.” By ‘babies’ he meant his computers, which he had virus protected, coded, and protected himself. It was a labor of love. He nodded. “A very violent door knob. I had to show him I meant business!”
A slow smile crossed his face as he mentioned Charlie, how he had saved her from becoming someone who grabbed onto hate so hard that their knuckles were white. That violence would be the only answer.
“Well, the thing is about Charlie is,” he took a slow deep breath. “She is fond of me, and I…I..” he sighed. “Well, we’re in love, Danny,” he rubbed his eyes. “And what’s more. she’s….pregnant. With my child.”
There. He had dropped the bomb and now he merely had to wait for the damage to be done.
A violent sort of emotion swirled inside of him - not contempt, never contempt, but violent all the same because so many things had just changed within the space of a second that it was hard to keep the world still around him.
“That’s,” He tried for words. “good.” There, that word felt right. “And if this is what the both of you want, I’ll support you to the end.” He always would. That fact of his existence had been established long ago. “I know the type of man you are. I know your character. And it’s good.”
“But,” He started, with a sigh. “Henry, she’s seventeen. There’s a long line of trouble you could get in. A very long line. You do know that, don’t you?”
Sona si Latine loqueris.: ||Danny+Henry||
Henry knew that his restlessness and his worry could was as clear to danny as a bell, but he didn’t mind that, at least he didn’t have to beat about the bush about how he felt. Danny just knew. Danny had always known. Just like henry could read Danny’s emotion from knowing him so long. As he walked in—which he didn’t mind because Henry did the same with him when they needed to talk or even when Henry wanted to bug the hell out of him when he was bored.
Offering him a chair, he was glad that Danny’s tone was casual and friendly. Of course, he expected nothing else, but it just further soothe him, as he was so unsure how he was going to react. He didn’t want to lose Danny. He’d loose his brother. His best friend.
“What’s going is…” he looked to him. “We’ve known eachother a long time, right Danny? And I can tell you anything?” he cupped his chin in his hands and sighed, rubbing his temples. “Because…I don’t just…i don’t know how you’ll react to the news, but I have to tell you because I love you, you’re my brother and if anyone would understand and would need to know is you’ll be there.” He rubbed his eyes with the heels of his hands.
His brow furrowed as he sank into the chair. “Calm down, mate.” He said, using only his voice. “Easy, there. I’m surprised you haven’t exploded like a human volcano.” The image wasn’t a pleasant one.
He hadn’t seen him this at the edge of his nerves in a long time, and he’d rather not see him at this frazzled a state, because the urge was to do something for him, even though he shouldn’t. He shouldn’t calm him down unless he asked, because he’d always done that for his friends - he didn’t like toying with them. He was an honest man, not a manipulator.
“Relax,” He tried, pulling himself up out of the chair and crossing the room towards his friend. “Relax and think of all the things we’ve told each other and all the times I haven’t run off screaming, yeah? I’m still here, aren’t I?” He closed his hand around his friend’s wrist and pulled his hands away from his eyes. “Have you killed anyone?’ He asked with a tone of seriousness. “Because I’d hate to have to move a body today.” A humored light flickered in his eyes. “Okay?”
Honestly Henry felt like a human volcano, about ready to have a heart attack or even just pass out. However, Danny’s soothing voice calmed him a little and he found his heartbeat slowly calm a little so his heart wasn’t pounding against his ribs. He was glad danny had this calming presence, even when he wasn’t trying because Henry was going to need it. “I feel like one,” he said hoarsely and then chuckled weakly.
He hadn’t been this edgy since..well, he couldn’t remember. But Danny had been there too, an arm around his shoulder while he probably breathed in a paper bag. It made him weakly smile. God, he used to be such a mess, it was a wonder he was as collected as he was today. Probably by a sheer miracle, actually, he thought.
As he walked over and touched his wrists, taking his hands from his eyes, he nodded. “You are mate, and you have heard well, almost anything,” He looked up into Danny’s eyes and for a moment he smiled. “God no, it’s not a body or anything, and the worst I did today was shock someone in my fifth period class” he chuckled. “So no ditch digging for us tonight.” He looked again in Danny’s eyes. “Do you remember that student, Charlie?”
Henry was ready to tell him, ready to see what reaction Danny would have to the news.
“No bodies.” He chided. “Bodies are bad. Bodies mean hiding dead things in the woods.” He shook his finger in Henry’s direction, amused at his own teasing. He’d always been amused at his own jokes. “Was it a good shock? Did they compare you to a particularly violent doorknob?” He raised a brow. “Did they deserve it?”
His brow furrowed. “Of course I do. She told me once you saved her, did you know that? From what she could have been. She’s fond of you.”
He wasn’t sure where this was going, but the emotions he was getting from Henry were confusing and conflicting and a thousand things at once, and if it had been coming from more than one person he’d have been overwhelmed by them. But they were coming from Henry and he’d learned to handle what emotions had come from Henry, to decipher them.
Henry knew that his restlessness and his worry could was as clear to danny as a bell, but he didn’t mind that, at least he didn’t have to beat about the bush about how he felt. Danny just knew. Danny had always known. Just like henry could read Danny’s emotion from knowing him so long. John Mayer - Daughters
I know a girl
She puts the color inside of my world
But she’s just like a maze
Where all of the walls all continually change
And I’ve done all I can
To stand on her steps with my heart in my hands
Now I’m starting to see
Maybe it’s got nothing to do with me
Fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too
Oh, you see that skin?
It’s the same she’s been standing in
Since the day she saw him walking away
Now she’s left
Cleaning up the mess he made
Boys, you can break
You’ll find out how much they can take
Boys will be strong
And boys soldier on
But boys would be gone without the warmth from
A womans good, good heart
On behalf of every man
Looking out for every girl
You are the god and the weight of her world
